Will Badass Patches match or beat a competitor’s quote—and how does that work?

Here’s how our price beat review works, what qualifies for comparison, and how we ensure true apples-to-apples pricing.

Badass Patches Price Beat Policy

Comparing Apples to Apples

Overview

Badass Patches doesn’t just price match—we aim to beat competitor pricing when the comparison is truly like-for-like. To do that fairly, we evaluate the entire quote, not just the base number.

If a customer has a quote from another vendor, they can submit it during the ordering process for review.

What We Compare

To ensure an accurate, apples-to-apples comparison, we review:

  • Patch size

  • Material (PVC, embroidery, woven, etc.)

  • Number of colors / thread colors

  • Backing type (Velcro, iron-on, sew-on, etc.)

  • Border style (merrowed, laser cut, molded, etc.)

  • Setup, mold, or artwork fees

  • Revision or redraw fees

  • Quantity and price breaks

All elements must match to qualify for a price beat review.

Why This Matters

Many competitors advertise a low base price, then add additional fees later for:

  • Artwork or setup

  • Additional colors

  • Backing upgrades

  • Size changes

  • Revisions or production adjustments

These fees often appear after a customer is already committed, leading to unexpected cost increases.

That’s not how we operate.

How Badass Patches Pricing Works

  • Quotes are all-in from the start

  • No surprise add-ons mid-process

  • Full transparency before production begins

  • Clear expectations on cost, timeline, and deliverables

Customers know exactly what they’re paying for before approving production.

Price Beat Commitment

If the competitor quote truly matches our specs, we will:

  • Do our best to beat their price

  • Maintain premium quality standards

  • Preserve fast turnaround times

  • Include our Lifetime Badass Guarantee on every patch

We will never compromise quality or service to win a price comparison.

Internal Notes (For Team Use)

  • If specs do not match, explain why the quote isn’t equivalent

  • Educate customers on fees rather than dismissing competitors

  • Reinforce transparency and long-term value, not just cost

  • Never guarantee a price beat without confirming full specs
